The director of Yirii Dance Studio wanted tropical, island-inspired costumes for her bachata troupe's upcoming performance. We designed these stunning aqua blue ruched skirts to embody the island vibe she envisioned.
The bright, aquatic blue color pops beautifully under stage lights. Each skirt features strategic ruching to flatter the dancers' curves, including a side slit with ruched detailing that reveals a flash of leg during spins and kicks. More ruching at the back highlights the booty and draws eyes during hip movements.
Built-in briefs ensure comfort and coverage, allowing the dancers to focus on their commanding performance instead of wardrobe malfunctions. The dancers felt confident and sexy in these figure-hugging skirts with each shimmy, pop, and body roll.
This project exemplifies my skill in crafting performance wear that is both beautiful and functional for dancers. The aqua blue color and strategic ruching achieved the client's island vision while complementing each performer.
